工作坊介紹
Lyon Nguyen 是一位肢體藝術家，其創作聚焦於探索人與人之間的連結──包括身體、故事與社群之間的關係。他的作品融合劇場、心理學、影像與科技元素，曾於美國及越南多個劇場與藝術節演出。 除了創作之外，Lyon 也是一位教育者與導師。他曾任教於美國猶他大學（University of Utah）及越南胡志明市舞蹈職業學校（Ho Chi Minh City Vocational School of Dance），並於美國與越南帶領無數工作坊。他創立了「nhan thay chuyen dong」系列計畫，透過學術研究的視角，引領越南創意社群以舞蹈展開交流與探索。2019 年，他共同創辦了美國鹽湖城（Salt Lake City）的 Queer Spectra Arts Festival，持續透過藝術與對話，支持並倡議 LGBTQIA+ 社群的多元聲音。 近年來，Lyon 發起了專為越南聾人社群設計的培力計畫《The Echoes of Our Touch》。透過免費藝術教育課程，以及結合手語支持的合作演出，打造聾人與聽人共同學習、彼此理解的共融空間。此計畫強調的並非技術上的高超表現，而是透過說故事、創造力，以及超越語言的多元表達方式，展現每個人都擁有表達自我的可能性。
Lyon Nguyen is a movement artist whose work explores connection – between bodies, stories, and communities. His performances blend theatricality, psychology, film, and technology, and have been presented at venues and festivals across the United States and Vietnam.
Lyon is also an educator and mentor. He taught at the University of Utah and the Ho Chi Minh City Vocational School of Dance, and has led countless workshops across the U.S. and Vietnam. He started “nhan thay chuyen dong” – a series that aims to engage the Vietnamese creative community with dance through the lens of academic inquiry. He also co-founded the Queer Spectra Arts Festival in Salt Lake City in 2019, which continues to champion LGBTQIA+ voices through art and dialogue.
Recently, Lyon embarked on a mentoring initiative designed for Deaf communities in Vietnam entitled “The Echoes of Our Touch”. Through free arts education programs and collaborative performances with sign language support, the project cultivates spaces where Deaf and Hearing individuals learn together and foster mutual understanding. The emphasis is not on technical virtuosity, but on storytelling, creativity, and the many ways people can express themselves beyond words.
